Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is situated at an altitude of 1,400 meters from sea level. But the highest point of Kathmandu valley is Phulchoki, at an altitude of 2,762 meters from sea level. In Kathmandu valley, the warm season usually lasts between 5.9 to 6.2 months, from mid-April to early October.
